Taking Trash Talk to the Next Level

WMNCN’s Northern California/Nevada Area faced a significant communications challenge: 51 municipalities with separate contracts, unique requirements, varied messaging, and no unified digital presence. Public education, customer information, and regulatory messaging were fragmented across dozens of channels—difficult for residents, costly for WMNCN, and inefficient for local governments.

As Director of Communications, I led the transformation of this ecosystem by modernizing outreach, integrating digital marketing tools, standardizing messaging, and helping unify the region’s voice under one cohesive Area communications strategy.
